What We Do
During the academic year, students (Nourish members) implement various fundraising activities, which we call "Ventures" to differentiate them from traditional fundraisers. Ventures cater to the student market, meaning they provide a good or service that other students are willing to purchase for the inherent value of the good or service. Examples of past ventures include swing dances, poker tournaments, and lunch sales. During the year, students find sustainable development projects by researching community oriented partners. Partners consist of any organization that is carrying out grassroots development work around the world. They include NGOs (nongovernmental organizations), nonprofits, and international relief organizations. Examples include Save the Children, Heifer Project and FDNC Uganda.
