Hold 'em for Hunger 2007:
Hold 'Em For Hunger 2007 will go down as this tournament's monumental
shift from successful to legendary. Nearly doubling participation at
510 players, HEFH 2007 played host to players flying in from as far away
as New York City. Las Vegas and Atlantic City continue to be reeled in
and 2008 will certainly show HEFH as the supreme force in charity poker
tournaments. Prizes given out included a 42" HDTV, a FULL-SIZE Drink-Vending
Machine, a Vegas-grade Slot Machine, a $400 Travel Voucher to STA Travel,
and tons more. Almost $6,000 was raised for Nourish International and
the Great Hall was filled beyond capacity. This seismic upgrade for HEFH
is sure to launch next year's preparation into full-swing very soon.

big thanks to all people affiliated with this amazing tournament!
Hold 'em for Hunger 2006:
Continuing the trend of success, Hold 'em for Hunger 2006 had more sponsors and
raised more money than the previous year, making it one of the nation's most
highly
profitable charity poker tournaments--over $5,700!! Apple Computer,
Cardplayer Magazine, World Tavern Poker Tour, STA Travel, and poker legend
Phil Gordon were among some of last year's top sponsors. The tournament winner
took home a 42" DLP HDTV worth more than $2,000! HEFH '06 even featured
a rock-paper-scissors tournament for the first 52-players to get knocked out,
the winner receiving an iPod Nano. Again, a great time was had by all!
Hold 'em for Hunger 2005:
Featuring
a field of 300 players, Hold 'em for Hunger 2005 was the
largest charity poker tournament ever in the state of North
Carolina. Empire Poker, World Tavern Poker, Progressive
Graphics, Schoolkids Records, and 20 other businesses all
sponsored the tournament, which took place in the Great Hall
at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The
tournament profited over $5,000.
