Hold ‘em for Hunger (HEFH) has established itself as the premiere charity poker tournament in the United States. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is proud to host this tournament for the fourth year in a row and we look to up the ante this spring!  This is Texas Hold ‘em as it was meant to be played and we want you to be a part of the action! Pack your darkest shades and practice your blankest poker face because HEFH 2008 will prove to be the most exciting event at UNC this year!

Who does HEFH work for?
All proceeds from this innovative affair benefit Nourish International (NI). NI is an opportunity to educate and catalyze social entrepreneurship among students while helping global impoverished communities in structural-economic support. In the tournament’s three-year tenure, we have raised over $16,000 for NI and look to make an even larger impact at this year’s tournament with feasible goals of $20,000 in total profit and a host of over 1,200 players.

NI is a student-run initiative that started at UNC four years ago and has since spread to many other universities, including Duke, NC State, Georgetown, Indiana, and Ohio State (who are even hosting an HEFH tournament this spring!).
