Students Overview

Greetings!  As a student, you are at the center of everything Nourish does.  You can work with communities to build sustainable development projects together.  Past projects have included micro-irrigation systems and facilities to produce labor-saving appropriate technologies.  You can help generate funds for these projects by running on-campus Ventures such as lunch sales, gaming tournaments and dances.  You can help engage other students in the same work.  You can be the change you wish to see in the world.

On this site, you can learn about everything Nourish students have done up to this point, and a good deal about where we are headed next.  We encourage you to read about the past projects we have done on our project network.  We also encourage you to read about what our current chapters are doing by checking out the chapter network.
Whether it is a Hunger Lunch in the BC walkway at Duke, or a gaming tournament in the Great Hall at UNC, you will be able to see the sustainable enterprises that students are running on their campuses.   Whether it’s a micro-irrigation system in Bolivia or a manufacturing facility for appropriate technology in Uganda, you will be able to see what students have helped to build in developing communities with the proceeds from these Ventures.

Now it’s your turn.

If you are interested in getting involved, the easiest way for you to get involved is to join a chapter.  If one does not exist at your school, you can apply to start one by emailing us here.  We also encourage you to comment on any blogs that interest you – we are aiming to build a network through this website, and we hope that people contact each other through the site.  If you are interested in a particular event that a chapter is running, or a project that a chapter has sponsored, please contact the leaders of those events and projects!
